Phoenix’s mission is to operate schools that challenge disconnected students with rigorous academics and relentless support so that they can recast themselves as resilient, self-sufficient adults in order to succeed in high school, college, and beyond.

Phoenix combines a mix of robust student supports and rigorous academic standards and expectations to serve disconnected youth ages 14 – 22. Over the past few years, Phoenix has made significant progress in developing and refining their model that delivers on its vision. Phoenix opened its Chelsea school in 2006, added Lawrence in 2012, and Springfield in 2014.

All Phoenix schools outperform their sending district on math MCAS results and 2/3 outperform on ELA, despite serving a much more challenging population.
