EducationSuperHighway

EducationSuperHighway (ESH) believes that digital learning has the potential to provide all students with equal access to educational opportunity and that every school requires high-speed broadband to make that opportunity a reality. ESH’s mission is to upgrade the Internet access in every public school classroom in America so that every student has the opportunity to take advantage of the promise of digital learning. ESH partners with states and school districts, providing data-driven programs that help accelerate upgrades in public schools across the country. They catalyze federal and state action on K-12 broadband initiatives, get fiber to schools that need it and make broadband more affordable for school districts. Generation Teach

Generation Teach

Generation Teach aims to recruit, train, and support the placement of the next generation of teachers. Generation Teach believes in the importance of building local, diverse teacher pipelines—they focus on recruiting college students who have existing ties to a city and who reflect the diversity of students in local K-12 schools. Partnering with schools and districts interested in recruiting candidates of color, Generation Teach gives these college students (called Teaching Fellows) exposure to teaching over the summer, as they lead classrooms of middle school students from partner schools and receive coaching by experienced local teachers. Generation Teach supports the placement of Teaching Fellows in full-time teaching roles after graduation. Generation Teach currently operates in Denver and Boston Generation Teach Website Back to All SGP...
KIPP Massachusetts

KIPP Massachusetts

The Knowledge is Power Program (or KIPP) is a national network of 200 charter schools that serves nearly 80,000 elementary, middle and high school students. KIPP operates under the fundamental belief that all students can perform at high levels when given adequate supports. KIPP came to the Commonwealth in 2004 with the founding of KIPP Massachusetts (KIPP MA), which has opened five schools to date: three in Lynn and two in Boston. KIPP Lynn’s results are especially impressive. KIPP Lynn benefits from strong leadership and a dedicated team of teachers who are committed to helping its students develop the knowledge, skills, and character strengths they need to maximize their potential in college and the world beyond. Over 90% of students from the class of 2016 matriculated to college; 85% of students enrolled in 4-year degree programs. KIPP Lynn strives to serve students who are representative of their home community. Nearly 90% of KIPP Lynn’s students are black or Hispanic; 48% are economically disadvantaged. KIPP Lynn is in the process of building out a full K-12 system and will serve 1,560 students by the 2019-20 school year. The KIPP MA Website Back to All SGP...
